How you can Help

There are many ways you can help in the Walk to End Alzheimers in Space Coast, to be held at the Avenue Viera in Viera Fl. on October 1st, 2011. You can of course form a walking team of friends, co-workers, or family and get sponsored for walking. Goods and Services are also needed for this event, if you or your company wish to make a donation of this kind you can download a contributor form here (pdf file) to ensure that you are credited with your kind donation. And last but certainly not least, volunteers are needed to staff various functions at the event including the following.......

Event Setup (7:30 to 9:00 am)

Hang Banners, post signs, set up tents, prep food station, balloons.

Parking (8:00 to 9:00 am)

Unload sponsor vehicles curbside and take boxes to sponsor tables.

Breakfast Station (8:00 to 9:00 am)

Replenish trays as needed, welcome walkers and answer questions.

T Shirt Station (8:00 to 10:30 am)

Distribute T shirts to designated walkers

Registration (9:00 to 10:00 am)

Check in walkers as they arrive

Cheering fans 10:15 to 11:15 am

Cheer on our walkers at the starting line and congratulate them at the finish line.

Promise Garden 10:30 to 11:00 am

Collect Promise Flowers* and set up promise garden while walkers are walking.

*Free Promise flowers will be available to be planted in our Promise Garden in memory of a loved one who has passed away or is suffering from Alzheimers. More Info on Promise Flowers and Promise Gardens

Event Cleanup (12:00 to 12:30 PM)

At the end of the event, help pack up and load up, make quick check of route to ensure signs and garbage are picked up.
